NIA Case Presentation #1
Nine year old high functioning child on the autistic spectrum
In this case presentation, Dr Moshe Perl details the symptoms, analysis, neurofeedback training and treatment outcomes for a nine year old high functioning client on the autistic spectrum from intake to dischage.
Attending this course can satisfy one case presentation and half an hour of mentoring for BCIA certification or half an hour of CPD for BCIA recertification.
Included in this presentation are discussions of pre and post TOVAs (a standardised test of variables of attention - an explanation of the TOVA is also included), pre and post child behaviour checklists as well as expert EEG/QEEG analysis by Dr Perl.
Dr. Moshe Perl is a world-class expert in neurofeedback and QEEG/EEG analysis, areas in which he has almost two-decades of experience teaching and mentoring practitioners in Australia and internationally.
He has successfully treated well over a thousand patients and has seen first-hand the amazing impact neurofeedback can have. Additionally, he has mentored over 100 practitioners in the field and reviewed thousands of cases inside of learning environments that develop and up-skill neurofeedback practitioners.
Dr. Perl has studied with many of the recognised world-leading experts in neurofeedback and QEEG/EEG analysis, distilled their knowledge and has become a recognised leader in the industry. He applies his knowledge in clinical practice as well as in his teachings. A hallmark of Moshe's teaching style is that he makes difficult concepts accessible and understandable for students at any level of skill or knowledge. He consistently receives excellent feedback for his courses, both on and offline.
"Dr Perl is very professional and the training he provides is of the highest quality in our industry of psychology and applied neuroscience. I am truly thankful that I undertook his courses and received extensive mentoring. To put it in perspective, I engage in between 150-200 hours of active professional development per annum. I have been a psychologist for nearly 20 years with 6 years experience as a clinical researcher. I would rate his training and mentoring in the top echelon of the professional development I have received over the years."

-Dr. Cassie Atkinson-Quinton, Director & Chiropractor. Body and Brain Centre
"I have a passion for neuroscience, but can find it daunting. Dr Moshe Perl’s knowledge, as well as his teaching and mentoring style, make learning in this complex field so much more accessible!"
-Simin Kashi, Neurofeedback & QEEG Practitioner, Townsville
"I strongly recommend any opportunity put out by the NIA! Moshe doesn’t simply “sell” his own approach, but is able to relate to other approaches as well. His experience and clarity in explaining the “why and how” of Neurofeedback are relevant and very helpful."
-Tom Neser, Clinical Director, Pain Management and Rehabilitation Services, New Zealand
